MAKE A DIFFERENCE, ONE CAT AT A TIME!
Know more about us!
Who are we?
One Cat at a Time is a Canadian registered charity. Our organization specializes in the care of neonatal kittens and sick kittens abandoned in veterinary clinics at risk of euthanasia or when the animal services do not have the resources to care for the sick kittens. We do not have a facility, we operate with a network of foster families located in the Lower Laurentians.
Our foster families are qualified and equipped to take care of our protégés. We accept kittens from all over Canada, but we give priority to our region. We advocate quality care, therefore we do not do mass rescue to ensure that our protégés receive the necessary care.
Our mission
Our mission is to save kittens in need, educate and raise awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering so that together we can work on improving the life of animals in Quebec.
We rescue orphaned or very sick kittens at risk of euthanasia. We educate the population on the kitten's development and the neonatal period. We sensitize people on the importance of spay and neuter. We have limited spots, so we try to focus on our main mission as much as possible.

Our values
We advocate transparency in our activities and take pride in explaining the organization's decisions and finances. Your trust is important to us and we want to keep it! It starts with transparency and communication!
The organization gives each rescued animal the same chance as it is often its last chance. Our decisions are never based on money, but on the quality of life of the animal. We advocate quality veterinary care and always do the care recommended by our partner clinics. Because we consider ourselves an ethical organization, we do not, however, perform any form of therapeutic relentlessness.
The organization is not funded and we are able to continue our mission thanks to donors. Please make a donation to help us continue!
