What to know about me:

My story

I arrived in November 2021 at the age of 4 weeks and was adopted in June 2022. Unfortunately, my family returned me 1 month later, as they said I wasn't compatible with their family and wasn't sociable enough for them. When I came back, the health problems started, I couldn't walk any more and I saw the vet and was followed up in neurology. A diagnosis of polyneuropathy was made and I started taking Dexamethasone (cortisone) in order to be functional. I can't function well without my medication, so to ensure my quality of life, I take it every day. It's less than $25 a month. I can enjoy my life as a cat with this medication and I'm happy.

My personality

I'm ready to trust humans again, hoping to find a family who won't abandon me, as I don't like to be picked up. I'm a good cat although a little more independent, I always stay with my humans. I'm a bit vocal when you talk to me, I like to coo for attention. It's my way of telling you I love you! I'm a calm cat who would like to find a calm family to live my life as a disabled cat. I can live with children aged 12 and over and with a calm cat. I cannot live with dogs.  I'm not a particularly foodie cat, but I do enjoy wet food and treats on occasion. It takes 2 people to trim my claws, and I'm a bit scared when someone tries to pet my head. My new family will have to give me time to adjust to my new environment, but I deserve a family! I'm such a calm and uncomplicated cat. Just give me some time and I'll be a good companion!

To note

Each animal is brought to its new family. Because Bruni's condition is so special, our volunteers will transport her within a 4-hour drive of Bois-des-Filion. We just want him to have a good family!

ADOPTION PROCESS

Our organization has put in place an adoption process to ensure transparency during this very important stage in the life of our little protégés. You must read it before considering an application for one of our cats, to make sure you respect it. Thank you for your understanding!
